What We Do
International support & Exchange
The Noda City International Association is an organization that values "support for foreigners" and "international exchange" and is involved in a variety of activities. They provide support to help people from other countries live in Japan, and hold international exchange events that allow Japanese people to learn about the cultures of other countries.
We will introduce the activities of each department of the Noda City International Association (Friendship and Exchange Department / Japanese Language Learning Department / Foreign Language Course Department / Secretariat).
Additionally, we hold joint events in collaboration with other departments, and we are committed to promoting international exchange.
▶ All-Team Event
This is an introduction to an event that is being held in collaboration with three divisions of the Noda City International Association (Friendship and Exchange Division, Japanese Language Learning Division, and Foreign Language Course Division).
Common Events
Homestay
International students studying at universities in the prefecture and nearby areas will experience a two-day, one-night homestay with a local family, allowing the students to get to know a Japanese family through their stay. The families who welcome and care for the students will also have the opportunity to deepen their interactions with young foreigners. The photo below shows the welcome party.

Common Events
Participating in the dance parade
Every year in early August, we participate in the Noda City Summer Festival Tanabata Dance Parade together with our members and foreign students studying in Japanese language classes. The Japanese Bon Odori dance, performed in yukata robes, is very popular among foreigners.

Common Events
International Exchange Festival
We plan various events aimed at international exchange, such as "Traditional Japanese Culture," "Lectures," "English Speeches," "Foreign Language Salon," "Candles from Around the World," and "Legal Consultations for Foreigners."

Common Events
Participation in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Industrial Festival
The event was held at Noda City Cultural Center, and we are participating in it to "widely inform the public about the existence of the association." We hope that it will lead to the creation of a community where various foreigners in the area and the people of Noda City can exchange words and live together in harmony.

▶ Friendship Exchange Department
The Friendship and Exchange Department is engaged in activities aimed at promoting mutual understanding and deepening friendships between local foreign and Japanese residents. We plan and run cultural exchange events, friendship salons, and international understanding education programs for elementary and junior high schools in Noda City, providing a platform to introduce the cultures of various countries. Through these activities, we aim to promote multicultural coexistence in the region and strengthen ties throughout the community.
Friendship Exchange Department
Support for international education
We invite foreigners and people with ties to other countries as lecturers to elementary and junior high schools in Noda City, and introduce children to the cultures, customs, lifestyles, games, etc. of various countries. By introducing children to different cultures and ways of thinking, we hope to help them develop an interest and a sense of living in a global context.

Friendship Exchange Department
Friendship Salon
At the Friendship Salon, foreigners and local residents gather together to enjoy dance performances by foreigners and traditional Japanese performing arts, as well as rice planting and harvesting at Noda City's community farm, and hotel tours. We have a variety of events planned to deepen friendships with foreigners.

Friendship Exchange Department
Foreign Cooking Classes
This is a class for local residents where foreign instructors are invited to teach them how to make home-cooked meals from their home countries. We learn about cultural differences through food, something that is most familiar to us.

Friendship Exchange Department
Participatory planning and execution of the city high school cultural festival
A world quiz event is being held at Seibudai Chiba High School's cultural festival (Kiyo Festival).
The Friendship and Exchange Club will come up with fun content, such as quizzes and prizes, and will also ask questions from their own countries to foreign members of the Friendship and Exchange Club. Participate in the World Quiz Tournament, answer the questions correctly, and win sweets from around the world!
