Noda city is located 20 km north east of Tokyo and is in north-west
end of Chiba Prefecture,surrounded by the Tone River,Edo River and
the Tone Canal. Both Rivers run through the Kanto Plain, and the re-routed
Edo River is a branch steam of the Tone.
The City is blessed with rich soil, abundant woods and good water with a population
of approximately 155,000 with around 59,000 houses in an area of 74 sq.km.
Noda is a historical place having kitchen middens, ruins, temples, shrines and
a couple of old mansions of the Soy Sauce families which are opened for public
as tourist attractions,is the Home of Soy Sauce. There are newly developed residential
areas, where quite a few westernized houses catch your eye, and industrial parks
with many factories in the suburbs.
